Matrix Body PDC Drill Bit Material :
The main material components of PDC drill bit body include hard alloy and polycrystalline diamond.
The matrix of PDC drill bit is a composite material composed of hard alloy and Polycrystalline Diamond Compact (PDC).
Hard alloy plays a role in supporting and protecting polycrystalline diamond in PDC drill bits. Hard alloys are usually composed of tungsten carbide (WC) and cobalt (Co), which have high hardness, wear resistance, and compressive strength. These characteristics of hard alloys enable them to withstand high temperature and high pressure environments during drilling, and effectively transmit torque and pressure.
PDC Cutter Manufacture process
The production process of diamond cutting blades mainly includes three methods: sintering diamond cutting blades, welding diamond cutting blades and electroplating diamond cutting blades.
Diamond PDC Cutter Sintering diamond cutting blades:
There are two main methods for sintering diamond cutter , namely cold pressing sintering and hot pressing sintering. Both methods fix the diamond particles on the matrix by pressing and sintering. Cold pressing sintering is carried out at a lower temperature, while hot pressing sintering is carried out at a higher temperature and pressure to ensure that the diamond particles are more firmly fixed in the matrix.
